Insurance Information

We are not in network with any dental insurance companies. As a courtesy, our Insurance Coordinator will file your claims and provide reasonable information requested by your carrier in a timely manner. It is your responsibility to be aware of the effective dates, waiting periods, yearly maximums, and any missing tooth clauses which may affect your coverage. We do our best to provide you with accurate coverage estimates based on information available to us. Many insurance companies will not give out fees until after the treatment is completed. However, we can file a pre-treatment estimate with your insurance prior to treatment. As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any change to your insurance. It is important that all information about you and your insurance is current.

We encourage all patients to personally be in contact with their insurance company to help move claims along in a timely and efficient manner.

Co-Payment

New patients will be asked to pay the examination fee (including fees for radiographs) in full at the time of the appointment.  With subsequent appointments, we will ask that you pay your estimated portion of the fee at the time services are rendered.

Private & Group Insurance

As a courtesy to our patients with dental benefit plans, we will submit all necessary claim forms, receipts, and other information to your insurance company. We are NOT in network with any dental insurance company. They will issue payment to us at the “out of network” rate. Patients with particular Delta Dental plans, Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina pay’s to the patient directly since we are not in network. We will do our best to help work with you while waiting for your insurance reimbursement.

Upon receipt of an insurance payment, any balance due will be billed to you. If you have deposited an excessive co-payment, it will be refunded to you.

Secondary Insurance

Many of our patients have two dental policies. We will file your primary policy and upon payment from your primary insurance carrier, we will file your secondary insurance.
